Title/Education: Senior Director of Executive Search / MBA
What do you wish people knew about you but don’t? This is a tough one! I don’t talk a lot about my faith in God and spirituality, but this is something that has been a constant anchor throughout my life and has helped shape who I am both personally and professionally.
Why do you do what you do at JBN & Assoc? Executive recruiting is challenging, nuanced, and never boring. Every search is a new puzzle to solve, and I genuinely love that. What drives me most is the opportunity to connect our clients with game-changing talent that moves their organizations forward. But honestly, nothing is more rewarding than the genuine thank you from a candidate you placed. That moment makes every hurdle worth it.
What do you enjoy most about your job? The people. I get to speak with and meet individuals from vastly different industries and backgrounds and hearing how they’ve built their careers and made an impact never gets old. Every conversation teaches me something new.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Spending time with family, friends and my dogs are at the top of the list. Beyond that, I have a well-documented love/hate relationship with golf and a newer appreciation for pickleball. My wife and I love to cook together, and you’ll almost always find me firing up the grill on weekends. We’re also big on giving back. Arizona has an incredible volunteer community, and we try to stay involved year-round.
How did your skills, background, experience, and passions bring you to JBN & Assoc? I’ve spent the last decade in professional recruiting with a niche focus on executive search, the space where JBN has excelled since day one. Joining a team this experienced and talented, in the state where I was born, felt less like a career move and more like a natural fit.
Are you Left Brain, Right Brain, or both? I think a little bit of both. I’m wired to be results-focused and decisive, but some of the feedback I value most speaks to my ability to read people and build genuine connections. I try to lead with logic while keeping the human element front and center, and I think that balance makes me a stronger partner to everyone I work with.
Do you have a favorite quote or credo that inspires or defines you? The Platinum Rule: “Treat others the way they want to be treated.” It’s an evolution of the Golden Rule which I also follow but for anyone in a service-based business, it’s a critical distinction in my opinion. True connection requires meeting people where they are, not where you are
